Erica and Chase were next-door neighbors before they started dating and eventually got engaged. Their wedding at the Marriott Grand St. Louis was simple, yet elegant, featuring white flowers, greenery and tons of candles. With family from many different religious backgrounds and cultures, they opted for a non-denominational ceremony followed immediately by their cocktail hour and reception.From the beginning, they wanted a wedding that felt personal and that prioritized the aspects that were most important to them as a couple. For example, they had a close friend officiate their wedding and cut things like the bouquet/garter toss, instead opting to have Erica hand her bouquet off to her mother, who didn’t have a formal wedding ceremony of her own.Erica got crafty and did much of the decor herself. She made their table numbers, bought centerpieces from Facebook marketplace, candles from IKEA, and worked through Vistaprint for their invites.
